Steps for tool license authorization

This section explains how to use CRI Authorization Tool:

  • (a) To obtain your license
    • Explains “how to obtain license” for new users.
  • (b) Registering a new PC
    • Explains how to register an additional PC to use the Tools with online authentication support.
  • (c) Unregistering your registered PC
    • Explains how to unregister a registered PC that can use the Tools with online authentication support.

(a) To obtain your license

Overview

Below are the steps to obtain your license to get started with tools which require online authentication.

  1. Activate the CRI Authorization Tool
  2. Agree with Terms of Use and register your e-mail address
  3. Confirm your e-mail
  4. Obtain your license
  5. Register your PC

Details of each step:

1. Activate the CRI Authorization Tool

  • Launch the CRI Authorization Tool to obtain your license in order to use the CRIWARE tools.
    Remarks
    If you launch a tool which requires online authentication on a non-registered PC, you can open the CRI Authorization Tool from the “Authentication Error” dialog box.
  • Once the tool is started, the “Welcome” page will appear. Select “Obtain Tool License”.

    2. Agree with Terms of Use and register your e-mail address

  • Type in your e-mail address in the “E-mail address” field on the “Obtain Tool License” page.
    A valid e-mail address is required to receive the confirmation message.
  • Please review and accept the Terms of Use.
  • Select “Submit”.

    3. Confirm your e-mail

  • In the “E-mail confirmation” page, please enter the 6-digit verification code which has been sent to your e-mail address used in Step 2. Type this code in the “Verification Code” field, and click on “Continue”.

    4. Obtain your license

  • After validation of the Verification Code, the “User Registration Complete” screen will be displayed.

    5. Register your PC

  • If you want to use the Tools with online authentication support on your working PC, select “Register PC” to register your PC.
    Once the registration is completed, it will automatically move to “My Page”.

    Now you are ready to get started with the tools.

(b) Registering a new PC

Overview

After obtaining a license, in order to use the Tools with online authentication support on another machine, please register the new PC. Workflow is as follows:

  1. Activate the CRI Authorization Tool
  2. Sign in with your registered e-mail address
  3. Confirm your e-mail
  4. Register your PC

The process to register an additional PC is similar to obtaining a license.
However, on the “Welcome” screen, please select “Sign In” instead of “Obtain Tool License”.
Details of each step:

1. Activate the CRI Authorization Tool

  • Launch the CRI Authorization Tool to register PC(s).
    Remarks
    If you launch a tool which requires online authentication on a non-registered PC, you can open the CRI Authorization Tool from the “Authentication Error” dialog box.
  • Once the tool is started, select “Sign in” on the “Welcome” page.

    2. Sign in with your registered e-mail address

  • Type in your registered e-mail address in the “E-mail address” field on the “Sign in” page, and select “Sign in”.

    3. Confirm your e-mail

  • a 6-digit Verification Code will be sent to your registered e-mail address from the “E-mail Verification Required” page. Type in this code in the “Verification Code” field, and select “Continue”.

    4. Register your PC

  • After verifying the Verification Code, select “Register PC“ on the “Sign in Complete“ page.
    Once the registration is completed, it will automatically move to “My Page”.
    Now you are ready to get started with the tools.

(c) Unregistering your registered PC

Overview

You can register up to 5 PCs per license to use tools which require online authentication. Unregister any unused PCs if needed.
To unregister a PC that no longer uses tools requiring online authentication, please follow steps below.
Sign in and you can unregister PC on “My Page”.

  1. Activate the CRI Authorization Tool
  2. Sign in with your registered e-mail address
  3. Confirm your e-mail
  4. Navigate from “My Page” to the “User Settings” page
  5. Unregister the PC

Details of each step:

1. Activate the CRI Authorization Tool

  • Launch the CRI Authorization Tool to obtain your license.
  • Once the tool is started, the “Welcome” page will appear. Select “Sign in”.
    Remarks
    If you have already signed in, “My Page” will be displayed instead of the “Welcome” screen. In this case, proceed to step 4.

    2. Sign in with your registered e-mail address

  • Type in your registered e-mail address in the “E-mail address” field on the “Sign in” page, and select “Sign in”.

    3. E-mail confirmation

  • a 6-digit Verification Code will be sent to your registered e-mail address from the “E-mail Verification Required” page. Type in this code in the “Verification Code” field, and select “Continue”.

    4. Navigate from “My Page” to the “User Settings” page

  • Once the verification code has been validated, the “Sign in Complete” page will be displayed. Select “My Page”.
    Select “Settings” on the top tab of “My Page”.
    It will then proceed to the “User Settings” page.

    5. “User Settings” screen

  • Select “Unregister PC” on the “User Settings” screen.

    6. Select the PC(s) you want to unregister

  • Select what PC(s) to unregister:
    • Unregister this PC
      • Only unregister the PC with this tool.
    • Unregister all registered PCs
      • Unregister all registered PCs with this tool.

    7. Unregister PC

  • Select “Unregister PC”.
  • The “PC has been unregistered” dialog is displayed, and the procedure is completed.
  • After unregistering PC(s), CRI Authorization Tool will be closed automatically.
