Differences between "Category Cue Limit as a Way to Limit the Number of Playing Voices" and "Voice Limit of Voice Limit Group"
  • If the Voice limit is activated, playback is stopped immediately.
  • If the Cue limit is activated, release is applied.

The Voice limit is activated when the Voice resource is insufficient. If you have sufficient Voice resource, you need not worry. Otherwise, you must fine-tune it.

The Cue limit is activated with release as an effect.
Played back Cues are not counted during release. Therefore, the number of used Voices may exceed the specified number. The Cue limit is based on the number of Cues.

Use the Cue limit as a rule of thumb to prevent Voices from running out. Set higher voice priorities to the sounds (BGM, environmental sounds, system sounds, and user action sounds) that are absolutely required even when the Voice limit is activated in case the voices should run out.
