On the reverberation during a Block transition

On the reverberation during a Block transition

If the sound is reverberating across Blocks

Example 1: waveforms longer than the Block length are arranged.
Example 2: the sound beyond the end of the Block is placed at the end of the Block.

In such cases, the following methods can be used to process the sound playback during the Block transition:

  • If it sounds unnatural to have the reverberation stop during the transition or if you do not want to stop a sound even during the transition
Set the "Block Transition Behavior" to "None".
  • When you want to stop the sound during the Block transition or when it sounds unnatural that the reverberations plays over the next block
Set the "Block Transition Behavior" to "Block Stop".

Even when the stopping the sound, you can adjust its envelope release play.

By setting "Block Transition Behavior" to "Block Stop" and setting a longer release, you can let the sound fade-out.
This is convenient when you want to control each sound individually.

By using the "play only at transition" option of the track, it is possible to apply the reverberating only during transition and connect to the next Block.
