FAQ: Why does the effect on a bus send not work?

Multiplying Send Amounts

Unlike general send effects, the effects in ADX are multiplied similarly to volume changes.
The sounds are sent from several layers (Cue, Track, Waveform region), the result of multiplying all send values is used as the send value.
The values coming from AISACs or Track Automation are also taken into account and multiplied as well to get the final volume.

Check the following.

Is the bus send level of the Track too low?

Initial values for Tracks

The bus sends are applied based on a multiplicative system, and the settings of a Cue, Track, and Waveform are all multiplied together.
In the initial state, the bus sends 1 to 7 of each Track are set to 0.0 (off).
Do not be confused since the bus send is 1.0 (on) when a Cue or Waveform is selected.
By changing this setting, you can send the Track to the effect send.
You need to change the bus send of the Track to which you want to apply the effect to 1.0.

Check if the bus send of an AISAC or Track Automation is not set to 0.0

Also, controlling the sounds via a distance attenuation AISAC or a Category will affect the effect. If the value of the bus send is small for each curve point, the effect wil not be applied.

  • Check if the bus settings or bus send settings have been changed through the runtime library.
  • Target-specific effects
Target-specific effects are valid only on the relevant target. Those effects cannot be previewed on PC. Check the effects by using a target preview or on an actual target.
