This section describes some basic tips for migrating from our legacy products "CRI ADX" or "CRI Audio" to "ADX."
For further information, refer to the documentation instead.
Migrating from ADX
The basic procedure is the same: initializing, creating a handle and starting the playback.
Since a mechanism is provided for playing back a sound by specifying a file name, and since the audio codec is compatible, a previously encoded ADX file can easily be played back.
Migration from CRI Audio
An authoring tool called CRI Atom Craft , which is an enhanced version of the authoring tool "CRI Audio Craft" for CRI Audio, is provided.
The basic concepts such as specifying Cues and starting playback are the same, so the data can easily be migrated.
In addition, project files used in CRI Audio Craft can be imported into CRI Atom Craft.
Working with Sofdec
"Sofdec2" is compatible with ADX.
Sofdec2 uses ADX for reading files and playing back sounds.
Using Sofdec2, simultaneous playback of multiple movies, multi-stream playback of movie and sound, and background loading of data while playing back a movie are all possible.
For details, refer to the "Sofdec2 manual".
