About Compatibility of Project File

• Project to open only with latest version
  In CRI AtomCraft, once a file is saved with a recent version, it cannot be re-opened in older versions.
  

Update Warning When Opening a File

The following dialog may be displayed when opening a file will trigger its update.

In that case, many warnings may be displayed in the log when loading the project. Make sure you check these warnings.

Log example

[Reader] ADX2_AtomCraft_V2_ActionDemo was created with version 3.38.02, which is newer than the version of AtomCraft you are using. 
Format version of the loaded file is Ver.1.05.00. 
Current format version is Ver.1.02.00. 
Saving will damage the file, so disable the save function. 
If you want to continue working, open it with the latest tool.

Warning in case of data saved with older versions

This warning is displayed when the format of the loaded file is older.
Once the file is saved in the current version of the tool, it cannot be opened anymore in older versions of the tool.
The compatibility is maintained if you do not save the file, but it will not be able to be opened in older tools once it is saved.

Log example

17:57:18.012 : [Reader] You are trying to load an old file created with AtomCraft Ver.2.34.04. The current version of AtomCraft is Ver.3.36.00. WorkUnit_Dripping_sound
17:57:18.012 : If you save it, you will not be able to load it with the old version of AtomCraft.

Warning for data saved with a new version

If the project is created from a tool version being started with a new tool, it can be read but can not be saved.

Warning for project created with tools older than Ver.2.27.01

Log example

18:32:33.851 : Projects under Ver.2.27.01 are unsupported. Version of loaded project Ver.2.24.02. File:"WorkUnit_ActionDemo"
Please save it again with Ver.2.27.01 later Ver.2 tool.

If data that can not be interpreted with the version 3 of the tool is included, please save again with version 2's latest tool first.

Match versions when working with multiple people

If you are working with multiple people, make sure the tool versions match.

Version control and backup

To avoid accidentally saving, please use a version control tool or create a backup before working on it.

Project compatibility with CRI Atom Craft Ver.2

Attention

Projects created with Ver3.35 or later are not compatible with V2.

• CRI Atom Craft project files
  A basic feature of project files is that they allow you to open older versions of the files.
  Files with newer versions cannot be opened with older tools.
  
  
• Special support for migrating CRI Atom Craft project files
  Normally, for the reasons mentioned above, you cannot switch between V2 and V3.
  Therefore, the following rules are used to ensure compatibility between V2 and V3.
  The following information applies only to CRI ADX2 Tools Ver.2.34.00 and CRI ADX2 Tools Ver.3.34.00.
  

Project files are compatible between V2.34.xx and V3.34.yy.
You can switch between projects and output the same binary.
