This is the page displayed when the tool is started. You can select a new or recently-used project from the list to open it. You can also search the manual and browse the web site on the right side.
The start page can also be displayed at any time from the Help menu.
By default, the Start page is always displayed at startup. Simply uncheck "Display Start page at startup" to start CRI Atom Craft without displaying the page.
