Checking Volumes and Levels
If a small value is set for any of the settings that affect the volume, such as the volume itself or a bus level, the resulting output level may be too low to hear.
There are many settings on both the data and code sides that can affect the output level. Check if any of these settings have been set to an extremely small value.

Checking the Data

Are any volume-related parameters being set to a small value on the data side?
Check the settings of:
  • Cue Volume
  • Track Volume
  • Volume Settings by Automation
  • Pan 3D Volume
  • Bus Send Level
  • AISAC Volume
  • Category Volume
  • REACT Volume

Checking the Program

Are any volume-related parameters being set to a small value on the program side?
Check the calls to the following functions:

Checking 3D Positioning

If you are using 3D positioning for panning, check the following:

Distance-based Attenuation

Is the distance between the listener and the sound source greater than the maximum attenuation distance?
If the distance is greater than the maximum attenuation distance, the sound will be played with a volume of 0.

Cone Angle (Internal/External)

If a cone is set for the sound source, is the orientation of the cone outside the external angle of the cone in relation to the listener?
You can obtain the cone settings for a Cue with the following APIs:
