About CRIWARE Unreal Engine plugin

CRIWARE Unreal Engine Plugin (hereinafter referred to as CRIWARE Unreal Engine Plugin) is a plugin module for using CRIWARE functions on Unreal Engine .
By using the CRIWARE Unreal Engine plugin, you can place Cue created with CRI Atom Craft on a map in Unreal Editor, and call CRIWARE functions via Blueprints.

Features

The CRIWARE Unreal Engine plugin provides the following features:

Import CRIWARE data

By using the CRIWARE Unreal Engine plugin, it is possible to load data generated by ADX tools and data generated by Sofdec tools into the Unreal Editor's content browser.
As a result, ADX data and Sofdec data can be used as asset on Unreal Engine, and sound and video can be controlled with BlueprintAPI.

Versioning rules

The CRIWARE Unreal Engine Plugin version is expressed as "MM.CC.FF" (ex.: 2.02.00). The meaning of each digit is explained below.
*From Ver.2.2, the versioning rule has been changed from "MM.CC.FF.PP" to "MM.CC.PP".

MM (Major Version)

Updated when major changes are made that change the product concept. Although backward compatibility of the API may be broken for the most part, we generally do not remove functionality without prior notice. This digit is generally not updated.

FF (Feature Version Version)

This number will be updated when major features, minor changes to external specifications, or major changes to internal specifications are applied to the CRIWARE Unreal Engine Plugin.
There is a possibility that backward compatibility may be broken partially due to API renaming or signature changes, but features will generally not be removed without notice.
Also, if there is a major change in the CRI core runtime library ( CRI ADX2, CRI Sofdec2 libraries) that this plugin depends on, this digit will be updated. Although backward compatibility of the API may be partially broken, we generally do not remove functionality without prior notice.

PP (Patch Version)

When minor feature additions, bug fixes, or minor internal specification changes are applied to the CRIWARE Unreal Engine Plugin, this digit will be updated. Backward compatibility of the API will be maintained.
This number may also be updated if the supported development environment, such as Unreal Engine , is updated.

note

The most significant digit is MM and the least significant digit is PP. If the most significant digit is updated, the least significant digit is reset to 00. Basically, the version of CRIWARE SDK for Unreal Engine is linked to the version of CRIWARE Unreal Engine Plugin.
If there are updates to content other than the plugin, the PP will be updated. The versions of the CRIWARE Unreal Engine plugin differential packages provided for each platform are basically linked to the versions of the CRIWARE Unreal Engine Plugin, but the update rules are different.
There are cases where the version of the CRIWARE Unreal Engine Plugin itself is updated without updating the differential package. Please check the CRIWARE Unreal Engine Plugin version combination table. (Zendesk account required)
