Normal alpha movie

You can encode alpha movies in the Sofdec2 Encoding Wizard and the Sofdec Encoder (console version).
You need to provide an AVI file with an alpha channel or sequentially-numbered image files.

(1) Encoding

Within the Sofdec2 Encoding Wizard, specify the AVI file or the image files to be used for the video material. Then select the optional Alpha Movie check box.

Select the Alpha Movie checkbox.

Additional information about the bit-rate specification for an alpha movie.
In the case of an alpha movie, the size of the encoded file is about twice as large as the normal size, corresponding to the bit-rate specified in "Configuring the image quality".

(2) Playback

If the movie file specified for the CRI Mana component has an alpha channel,the component automatically switches to a shader that includes alpha channel processing. Do not select Additive Mode.
