[Enhanced high-speed file transfer function]
Achieve high-speed download of game data, reducing waiting time by approximately 1/5

File transfer was enhanced on May 20, 2022.
We have already offered a high-speed file transfer function, but we have now implemented a new file transfer function that supports the HTTP/2 method, achieving even faster speeds.

File transfer technology that reduces waiting times to approximately 1/5 * of conventional methods

HTTP/2 is a communication method that features high-speed data transfer, allowing data to be sent and received more efficiently than the conventional HTTP/1.
Currently, many of the standard Android functions provided for game engines and app development do not support HTTP/2, making it very costly for each development company to build a system for high-speed data downloads using the HTTP/2 method.
Now that CRI is providing a middleware transfer function that supports HTTP/2, anyone can easily achieve high-speed downloads. *Based on CRI measurements. Results may vary depending on communication conditions, devices, etc.

Two modules are provided to suit your development policy

This feature provides a module that uses OSS Curl (CriFsWebInstaller Curl Expansion) and a module that does not use it (CriFsWebInstaller).
You can choose the modules you want to use according to your development policy.

Sample download time measurement results for each device

CRI measurements of download times across multiple devices and OS versions confirmed that the improved high-speed file transfer feature significantly reduced download times.
You can achieve even greater speed improvements by using Curl Expansion.
