This book explains what is required of game sound these days, the workflow from specification to implementation, and examples of ambient sound implementation using ADX2. It explains everything from the basics of game sound to implementing sound with middleware.

It's fine to study while watching the tutorial, but if you just want to get to the point where you can quickly play sounds in a game, you might want to start with this book.
