CRI ADX manual (PC)

Differences between the commercial and free versions of this product

The LE version of the CRI ADX SDK (free version) provides almost the same functionalities as the commercial version.
Most of the content in this manual is also applicable when using the free SDK. However, please note the following:
  • ADX data to be played with the commercial SDK must be built by using the commercial CRI Atom Tools
  • This manual describes some features that are not available in the free version of the SDK.

ADX SDK Recent Topics

3D audio function "Object-based playback"

Supports object-based playback, which uses position information for each sound source to achieve high-quality positioning.
By binauralizing each sound independently, you can achieve a more accurate sense of positioning than by binauralizing mixed sounds.
Supports playback using not only the software processing provided by CRI, but also the object-based audio functions provided by the platform.
For details on the object-based playback function, see criatom_feat_object_base .

Collaboration with the virtual surround sound solution "Sound xR"

You can now use Yamaha Corporation's virtual surround sound solution "Sound xR" as binaural processing in CRI ADX.
For details on the collaboration with "Sound xR", see criatom_feat_binaural .

Snapshot function expansion

The snapshot function has been expanded to allow partial snapshot application instead of the entire mixer.
This makes it easier to create snapshots when you want to change the sound in a pinpoint manner.
For details on the snapshot function, see Snapshot .
